Sean Currington grew up in a small town in southern Wisconsin. Aside from his focus on guitar, Sean has experience with engineering, music production, drum programming, video editing, and is a developed songwriter. He was first inspired to play music around the age of 12. After getting turned on to classic rock bands by his older siblings, he proceeded to teach himself to play guitar. Aside from a year of guitar lessons, Sean was mostly self-taught when he started playing in bands and writing music after a couple years of playing on his own.
Throughout the years he gravitated towards different styles of music including country, blues, R & B, and jazz while still gigging in mostly rock based bands. In high school he was part of every music orientated class there was including: jazz ensemble, music theory, and sound engineer classes. Sean also gave guitar lessons to various students.
In the fall of 2012, he moved to Los Angeles to expand his musical horizons by attending Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood where he graduated in March 2014 as the Outstanding Player. Along with the occasional session work and songwriting, Sean has enjoyed playing with many artists throughout the years like Blackhawk Revolution, Quorianka Kilcher, Pandemic, and Epicurean to name a few. Recently, Sean has moved back to his home town and is looking to gig with bands in his area. Sean also keeps busy with any studio work that becomes available to him.
